Sachika Twins: Take Over Fashion Week

Ivanka tells all.

Celebrity fashion designers To-Tam and To-Nya Sachika also known as “The Real Twins of NYC” launched their Fall/Winter 2012 collection. The crowd roared with whistles, Ooh’s, and Ah’s, the collection was most definitely a sight to see!

As the unveiling of IVANKA: “If we ever meet again” began, there was a short film directed by Matias Desiderio. This short film introduced the character of Ivanka, a fictional secret agent-like character whom delves you into a world of action. The runway models each represented a scene of Ivanka’s action-packed world thus giving the audience a feel for this character the Sachika twins created. Ivanka is sexy, sultry, beautiful, elegant, strong, and this; friends is exactly what the collection upheld!

Each piece from the various Ivanka scenes were portrayed and felt through the different types of materials and luxurious fabrics. It has been confirmed by the real twins themselves, they used “a combination of wool crepe, leather, faux fur, silk chiffon & charmeuse, delicate lace, suede among other luxurious fabrics to create their signature cocktail dresses, jackets, and separates.” The material and fabrics described and personified Ivanka that she is a living breathing being. Somewhere in the midst of all the types of Ivanka’s, every woman has Ivanka’s ability and can look sexy while they’re at it.

There were many other great surprises, Leila Lopes, Miss Universe of 2011 walked the runway as well as Alyssa Campanella Miss USA of 2011. What an awesome extra part of the show to witness two powerful women represent Ivanka, the message was well received. Lastly, Eva Marcille America’s Next Top Model 3rd cycle winner made a glamorous appearance! Her power was defined and if you did not have your eyes on the stage, her presence made you do so. One surprise that cannot be missed, Michael Antonio shoes graced the runway while perfecting each model’s aura. The beautiful jewels that were featured in the show were by Sequin and the custom made hats, oh the custom made hats… they were superb, these were featured by Anthony Maxwell.

The fashion show was a great success and New York bows to the Sachika twins. A job well done ladies, we are now obsessed! To see more of the Sachika Twins, follow their blog and shop for their line at Sachika.com.
