Sachika Twins: Take Over Fashion Week

Ivanka tells all.

Celebrity fashion designers To-Tam and To-Nya Sachika also known as “The Real Twins of NYC” launched their Fall/Winter 2012 collection. The crowd roared with whistles, Ooh’s, and Ah’s, the collection was most definitely a sight to see!

As the unveiling of IVANKA: “If we ever meet again” began, there was a short film directed by Matias Desiderio. This short film introduced the character of Ivanka, a fictional secret agent-like character whom delves you into a world of action. The runway models each represented a scene of Ivanka’s action-packed world thus giving the audience a feel for this character the Sachika twins created. Ivanka is sexy, sultry, beautiful, elegant, strong, and this; friends is exactly what the collection upheld!

Each piece from the various Ivanka scenes were portrayed and felt through the different types of materials and luxurious fabrics. It has been confirmed by the real twins themselves, they used “a combination of wool crepe, leather, faux fur, silk chiffon & charmeuse, delicate lace, suede among other luxurious fabrics to create their signature cocktail dresses, jackets, and separates.” The material and fabrics described and personified Ivanka that she is a living breathing being. Somewhere in the midst of all the types of Ivanka’s, every woman has Ivanka’s ability and can look sexy while they’re at it.

There were many other great surprises, Leila Lopes, Miss Universe of 2011 walked the runway as well as Alyssa Campanella Miss USA of 2011. What an awesome extra part of the show to witness two powerful women represent Ivanka, the message was well received. Lastly, Eva Marcille America’s Next Top Model 3rd cycle winner made a glamorous appearance! Her power was defined and if you did not have your eyes on the stage, her presence made you do so. One surprise that cannot be missed, Michael Antonio shoes graced the runway while perfecting each model’s aura. The beautiful jewels that were featured in the show were by Sequin and the custom made hats, oh the custom made hats… they were superb, these were featured by Anthony Maxwell.

The fashion show was a great success and New York bows to the Sachika twins. A job well done ladies, we are now obsessed! To see more of the Sachika Twins, follow their blog and shop for their line at Sachika.com.

Pamela Quinzi: Cinderella Of New York for Huntress

FEBRUARY 9TH, 2012- NYFW

Pamela Quinzi’s Fashion show was the perfect start of Fashion Week. One of the biggest events I’ve been to thus far! I even had the chance to meet her personally and shake her hand. Pamela, you are such a sweetheart! We loved the line.

Cinderella of New York is right. Pamela Quinzi’s fashion show was an event not to be missed! The glamorous event took place at Room Service, a very chic and sexy lounge. Before the show began, Pamela got up on stage and spoke about her love for fashion, New York City and it’s fans. Pamela stated, “I want to thank New York City for being so nice and really great to me and my line I could not have done this without you! You are all the greatest! I came from Italy just 2 years ago and here I am living a dream.” Her humble speech was heart felt through out the crowd and from that point on the show was nothing but a wonderful success. Some of the many awesome looks of the night. Look at those shoes!

To the crowds surprise, Pamela had collaborated with 3d Beauty Consulting with her new perfume “Huntress” which was a major hit! It is sold and displayed with a single shoe and the bottle of perfume. The scent is wild but lovely and girly, it’s perfect.

Speaking briefly with Pamela, she studied and worked in Rome and Milan (9 years), Italy. Working with top Italian designers during her exploration days of fashion, Pamela knew this was the life she wanted to live and breathe. Just two years ago after coming to New York for research she decided to move here, started her shoe design business in 2010 and has climbed the ladder quickly and tremendously. “Cinderella of New York” was coined solely by an Italian magazine called “Fashion Basix” the name certainly fits to the furthest extent of Pamela!

During the show, a guest performer jumped on stage and brought down the house, Holly T performed her newest single “Queen B*tch”. Holly T kept the crowd alive during her set with her awesome crowd enthused movement! Holly T and Pamela have worked together at one of Pamela’s first events at “Sky Room” when Holly T performed her single “What Money Wants Money Gets”. The two were happy to be back together again during Fashion Week nonetheless. Holly T, you brought the house down! To listen to Holly T download her latest album on iTunes and visit her site, www.hollytmusic.com.

All in all, Pamela Quinzi’s line is for you, for the every day glamorous woman. To see more of Pamela’s shoes go to her site, www.pamelaquinzidesign.com.
